One year ago today I had the distinct honor of debuting the web series Unemployed Sidekick to the loyal fans of DailyDCU.com and to the world wide web. I am so very proud of all 22 episodes of the series’ “season one” and hope to make “season two” some day down the road. This was a pure collaboration of a regular “who’s who” of the Tumblr community. Nerdology’s Creighton Desimone, director Matthew Pollock, and I mapped out the first season together, then like any project we made it all happen. It wasn’t always easy, but it surely was always fun! And how could it not be fun when working alongside actor Kyle Kirkpatrick as Raven? Being able to write this series was like penning a love letter to the superhero genre that has given me so much, and I want to thank all the fans for watching.
